    YOU ASK WHY I FOLLOW THIS JESUS?


     You ask why I follow this Jesus?
     Why I love Him the way I do?
     When the world's turned away from His teachings
     And the people who serve Him are few.
     
     It's not the rewards I'm after
     Or gifts that I hope to receive
     It's the Presence that calls for commitment
     It's the Spirit I trust and believe.
     
     The Lord doesn't shelter His faithful
     Or spare them all suffering and pain,
     Like everyone else I have burdens,
     And walk through my share of rain.
     
     Yet He gives me a plan and a purpose,
     And that joy only Christians have known,
     I never know what comes tomorrow,
     But I do know I'm never alone.
     
     It's the love always there when you need it;
     It's the words that redeem and inspire,
     It's the longing to ever be with Him
     That burns in my heart like a fire.
     
     So you ask why I love my Lord Jesus?
     Well, friend, that's so easy to see,
     But the one thing that fills me with wonder is
     Why Jesus loves someone like me.

    Know This - Humbledheart

    Know This
     Know this... You can be confident that He who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. Know this...
    God is faithful, and His word goes forth to accomplish , and to prosper wherever it is sent. Know this... Sarah laughed when
     her faith was tested as Abraham told her that the LORD has told him that she (who, at that time, was old, and above child bearing age)
     would have a son; but God's word did not return unto Him void, and some time later, she conceived , and bore a son, who Abraham
     named Isaac. Know this... He created all of heaven and earth, and everything there-in and all by just His Word. And because we were
     created in His image, we have that same creative ability in the words we choose to speak. Death and life are in the power of the tongue...
     We can speak either blessings, or curses- but the choice is ours. Just try to ask yourself , the next time you start to speak... "Will these words
     bring death, or will they bring life?" Choose ye this day, whom you will serve... will it be the all- powerful, giver of life, and love; or will it be he
     who comes to seek whom he will steal from, kill and destroy? Know this... God, the creator of this vast universe loves you so very much that
    He sent His only Son to take upon Himself, the sins of the world and suffer the crucifixion at calvary, being made the ultimate sacrificial Lamb
     of God, by shedding His blood , so that we could be made free from sin and live again. He took upon Himself every sin of every person who
    ever had, and ever will walk upon the face of this earth, and every sickness that is known to plague a person's body. When He did this, because
     of the sin He took on, He was, at that moment separated from His Father, and that was probably the most excruciating pain He ever knew. He did not have to do that, but He did so because that was what His Father required of Him, and He did so out of obedience and respect.
     So, too, should we follow after His righteousness in being obedient stewards of all the God has blessed us with... both in the physical, as
     well as the spiritual. Know this... Let not your heart be troubled, for soon, and very soon, at the sound of the last trump, Jesus Christ will
     return to take those sheep who follow in his footsteps, and are doing the will of the Father, back to heaven with Him. For now, He's only
    gone to prepare a home for us, and where He's made a home for us; there , He will take us some day. Only the Father knows the day, time
    , or hour of this major event; but the signs are all around us. The time is not long off, the day of the Lord is at hand. Prepare your heart, and be
    ready for His soon, glorious return. For knowing all this.. He loves you!!!

    ONE ( Humbledhearts Poetry)

    One

    I can only thank You, Lord,
    that You left those ninety-nine
    to chase after this one...

    This one, who had become
    a "wayward son".
    This one, who had to find out,
    on their own,
    that they couldn't go through this life alone,
    but needed THE ONE, to guide them
    along every step, of every day.

    This one, who'd gone out on their own
    to do things their own way
    And before too long, realized that
    they had gone astray.
    This one, who one day,
    felt the gentle tugging of their heart;
    As You guided them, and caused them to part
    wth their wicked ways, and fall down upon their knees,
    and to seek Your face.

    This one can only thank You, Lord,
    that they are now a child of THE ONE -
    the Living, Ever-present God.

    A friends poetry ( Humbledheart)

    Brick Wall

    It hit me just like a brick wall
    I ran into that brick wall
    I hit my head upon it again, & again...
    and it was only then
    that I began to see the consequences
    of my sin.

    But God has a way of working things out...
    of forgiveness, without a doubt
    He'll bring us back, and start anew -
    back to the fold, He'll bring me & you.

    He'll lead us down that narrow path
    He'll lead and guide us with His map
    He'll lead us back when we've gone astray...
    lead us and teach us all His ways.

    With the hope we have in Jesus Christ
    that will be all...
    and we won't have to face any more brick walls.

    Just wanted to share a poem the Lord blessed me with writing a few yrs ago. Some of you know me as humbledheart, on CSD, and may have seen this poem already. It can also be found on poetry.com, as it was published by them a while back.

    How could you say no??

    Thorns on His head, a spear in His side, yet it was the heartache that made Him cry.  He gave His life, so you'd understand.  Is there anyway you could say no to this man?
     
    If Jesus Himself were standing here.  A face full of glory and eyes full of tears. And He held out His arms, nail prints in His hands, is there anyway you could say no to this man?
     
    How can you look in His tear stained eyes knowing its you Hes thinking of.  Could you tell Him your not ready to give Him your life, could you tell Him you dont really want His love?
     
    Jesus is here, with His arms open wide.  You could see Him with your heart if you'd quit looking through your eyes.  He's left it up to you, Hes done all He can.  Is there any way you could say no to this man?
